Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) has received a Letter of Award from Ministry of Railways for “Manufacturing cum Maintenance of Vande Bharat Trainsets including Upgradation of the Government Manufacturing Units & Trainset Depots”
The award comprises of a total of 200 Trainsets and cost per set is Rs. 120 Crores translating to a total cost of Rs 24,000 cr. This will be split in three entities viz Joint Stock Company Metrowagonmash-70%, Joint Stock Company Locomotive Electronic System-5% and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited-25%.
