Consortium of BHEL and Titagarh Wagons awarded Rs 9600 cr order

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) led consortium has been awarded an order for 80 nos. Vande Bharat trains in the tender of Indian Railways at a rate of Rs 120 cr per train excluding taxes and duties. Additional order for AMC has also been placed for 35 years .

BHEL is the lead member of the Consortium of BHEL and Titagarh Wagons Limited. The consortium is called as Technology Partner that will supply of 80 Nos. sleeper class Vande Bharat Trains over a period of 72 months and undertake comprehensive maintenance of the same for 35 years in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Agreement. The consortium will equip, upgrade, operate and maintain the exclusive place provided in the Manufacturing Unit at ICF Chennai and Two Depots assigned by Indian Railways
