Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 160,529 units in April 2023. Total sales in the month include domestic sales of 139,519 units, sales to other OEM of 4,039 units and exports of 16,971 units. The shortage of electronic components had some impact on the production of vehicles.
The overall sales grew by 6.5% as compared to April’22 when the Company sold 150,661 units. Sales of mini segment, vans, light commercial vehicles, exports and sales to other OEM declined during this quarter.
Domestic sales (excluding sales to other OEM) increased by 10.5%. The compact segment that includes Baleno, Ciaz, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, WagonR achieved a growth of 26.6%.
