Vidhi Speciality Food Ingredients Limited, a leading manufacturer and exporter of Superior Synthetic Food Grade Colours, announced the commencement of trial production of its new greenfield plant, having a capacity of 350 MT Per Month at Dahej SEZ in the state of Gujarat.
With this addition, the company’s overall capacity has doubled from 325 MT Per Month to 675 MT Per Month. This greenfield expansion will enable VSFIL to address the growing demand – supply gap and will result in increasing better realizations as the company has also forayed into new high margin products. This development is in line with the company’s commitment towards fostering sustainable growth and creating value for its stakeholders.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Bipin Manek (Chairman & Managing Director), Vidhi Speciality Food Ingredients said, “We are happy to announce that VSFIL has commenced trial production at Dahej SEZ plant in Gujarat with an investment of Rs. 70 Crs funded from internal accruals. With this, we are a step closer to our goal of taking our capacity from 325 tonnes to 1000 tonnes per month. The current capacity now stands at 675 tonnes per month. The products from this new unit will cater to diversified end-user industries i.e Food & Beverage, Confectionery & Bakery, Pharmaceuticals, Personal Care, Health Care, Pet food & Cattle Feed.
Our renewed strategy now involves focusing on offering value added products which command higher margins, increasing our penetration into newer geographies, addition of new customers, improving wallet share from existing customers, enhancement of product portfolio, operational efficiencies & operating leverage.”
